Track Your Travel Expenses with Trail Wallet

Nobody wants to worry about money while travelling, but we all do. Tracking your finances is a simple way to get some freedom from this financial anxiety.

You could keep track of your travel expenses the old school way with a pen and notebook, or try to remember what you spent and enter the amounts in a spreadsheet at the end of the day, but Never Ending Voyage have come up with a better solution.

Trail Wallet is a new app for the iPhone that helps you to quickly and easily keep track of your spending on the road. When you buy something, pull out your iPhone, add the amount using the Quick Add screen, choose a category (or leave it till later) and you’re done. Forget about it. Get on with your day.

No more collecting receipts in bags or pockets. No more sitting with a calculator trying to work out how you’re doing. No more trying to remember how much that tuk-tuk cost.

When you first use Trail Wallet you set up your local currency for wherever you are in the world (there’s support for over 200 currencies) and it’ll automatically grab the latest exchange rate for you. This is the only time you need an internet connection to use the app.

Trail Wallet comes with six pre-defined travelling categories, but you can add as many as you want depending on how finely you want to track your spending.

Set yourself a daily budget and at the end of the day or week or month, you can see how you’re doing. A little over budget? No problem―the app will tell you what’s eating up your cash. Under budget? Great―send a reassurance tweet to your friends and family with the Twitter integration.
