While searching through our travel photos, we noticed that we’ve been to most of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. Dave and I treat our travels like a honeymoon. We’re married, so why can’t every trip be like going on a honeymoon? Even on our greatest adventures, we look for romance. While our actual honeymoon was in the Dominican Republic where we went horseback riding on the beach for the first time, we have upped the romance factor over the years to include some of the most romantic destinations on earth from the Caribbean and beyond.

St. Lucia has often been voted the number one Caribbean honeymoon destination and after visiting, we understood why. With white sand beaches and resorts boasting jaw-dropping views of the Petit and Grand Pitons, there are luxury resorts in St. Lucia catering to couples only. It is one of the best places in the Caribbean for scuba diving with coral reefs and clear waters.

For combination adventure and relaxation you can’t do better than south east Asia. There’s great hiking in northern Thailand around Chang Mai, or also in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. And both countries also have some beautiful hotels where you could relax for a couple of days to spoil yourself.
Having adventure honeymoon is great ! Accomplishing something together is something rejoicing always 🙂 But you will need to plan, my first adventure travel with wife was bit problematic 😀 she got fainted while walking towards waterfall through forest and I carried her on my shoulder, 2 km to where we started.

You sould consider Puerto Vallarta or Cancun in Mexico for a honeymoon as well. Plenty of great activities for couples. Have you guys visited Mexico yet?
We’ve been to Mexico a few times and spent a bit of time in both Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. There are great adventures around both destinations, i agree! It’s one of our favourite destinations.
