Everything was beautiful, comfortable and quiet, the house in the middle of tea plantations, almost like a movie. And Siri the administrator was so helpful and servicial, always willing to help with a smile, he prepared some bananas for us for our hiking to Siri Pada, very nice of him. I would back without doubt.

Nice colonial house, refreshing bedroom and modern bathroom. The service we received from the owner and staff was outstanding. They helped us with all our inquiries and most importantly got us our train tickets to Ella! Would recommend if you are passing through Hatton. Note that the home is close to day traffic but the night time is very quiet!

Communication was good and hotel even offered free transport from Hatton Station but we came from Kotagala, hence not taken the offer. Staff, especially Kiruban (apologies if misspelled), was very helpful and service was excellent. Location and facilities were good. There was a nice balcony with a view of tea estates.

    We were told to treat the magnificent bungalow as our own...

    We were told to treat the magnificent bungalow as our own home as we arrived and had a drink in the wonderful colonial drawing room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing, the afternoon tea was the best I have had in my life. We loved the walk around the tea plantations and swimming in the infinity pool

    There is nothing to do in Hatton, the city itself is not...

    There is nothing to do in Hatton, the city itself is not very interesting. However you can take the scenic train route from Kandy to Hatton and then join the tea plantation tours and hikes and afternoon teas. Many leeches so beware. Way colder in temperatue than Minneriya, Dambula, Kandy etc.

    Hatton is a scenic and beautiful town in the mountains. Gorgeous sceneries anywhere you look. The town has plenty of shops and banks. Pretty convenient to get everything you need. The hotels are run a bit differently to Colombo and Kandy. Not sure how to explain, but things are bit slower. It is great to hike there and search for waterfalls and the nature and beauty is unending. Lovely local people, friendly and kind. The temperature is seriously pleasant without the humidity. Even the tea plants love it.

    lovely area - i would have liked to stay longer and do Adam's Peak . I enjoyed walking through the tea plantations and seeing the factory - and there were other hikes to do that we didn't have the time to do. Also, it is not too far from Kitulgala which is also a great place to go. we rafted there and loved it - and there is also a lovely rain forest there that we did not have the time to explore.

    The Hatton area is the centre of Sri Lanka's tea industry...

    The Hatton area is the centre of Sri Lanka's tea industry and has a cool moderate climate. The area around Hatton and especially Castlereigh Lake is spectacular, with beautiful tea plantations waterfalls and stunning vistas. It is at an elevation of 3,000 meters so pack warm clothes as well as t-shirts as the weather is changeable. As a result of decades of British colonialism the region is dotted with fantastic Bungalows and the locals will speak English. If you can, try and arrive via train (use the second class tickets, first class is aircon and too cold with non-opening windows) from either Kandy or Nanu-Oya (Nuwara Eliya) its one of the most scenic train journeys in the world.

    Hatton is the gateway to Sri Paada pilgrimage for the travellers from Colombo or specially the tourists. The town is small, packed but friendly and could have been lot more planned, cleaned and visitor friendly.

    We only stayed one day at Tea Hills , we came from Kandy by train, the hotel offered to pick us up which we really appreciated , as we where a bit later we didn’t want to go into the city so we asked the property if we could have dinner their which they provided , the rooms are large and very comfortable, the staff is very helpful and friendly, we had coconut rotti for breakfast which was very enjoyable

    everything is exceptional starting from the resort is letterely paradise (new and clean rooms) the staff are friendly and very helpful The GM Mr. Ravi is a respectful man and tries to provide everything we want. also "JUSTIN" is one of the staff a helpful and available the whole day when we need anything we can text him on whatsapp and helps us and receptionist lady is nice.

    The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The Barman in Nessies bar was especially good as was chef Suresh who went out of his way to explain dishes due to our allergies and also showed us how to make a traditional Kottu (which was delicious). Impressive welcome and departure process and a lovely clean hotel with comfortable rooms.

    when we arrived there was no baby crib ( although this was confirmed there would be one on message) the staff quickly sorted the situation & a crib was delivered a few hours later along with a baby high chair. beautiful garden & location take a trip to tea castle less than 20 minutes away. they service the best tea and chocolate cake!

    Beautiful location! Has a scenic view from Balcony. The host is an amazing person, would help you in every way. It’s close to Hatton railway station and Bus stand. The apartment has 3 rooms and it’s a spacious place with well equipped kitchen and living room. Stayed for a week and would love to stay longer. Highly recommend!

    Nice accommodation and close to the train station. The host was super friendly and helpful (i.e. with organising a Tuktuk to Adam's Peak or information about how to get to Ella). I fell ill during our time in Hatton and he helped us by recommending a good pharmacy and continuously checking-in to make sure I was okay.

    Very nice and helpful owners, helped us to arrange a scooter rental. Nice location - 15 minutes from Hatton and the owner offers a transport. In the middle of nature with a nice view. Communicative owners. Amazing food - we had homemade breakfasts and dinners and it was the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

    The hosts at this property are some of the most kind, caring and lovely people I have ever met. We stayed in Hatton so we could do Adams peak at sunrise, Priyanthi was very helpful and organised a tuk tuk for us at a great price. Very glad we stopped at this property 😁

    Loved the view from the balcony, the hot water shower was the hottest with the highest pressure in all of Sri Lanka! The food that they cooked up was some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka, especially the mushroom curry.
