The Golden star of India is the Golden Temple of Amritsar.

We almost didn’t make the trip. We were meeting our friends Becca and Julian in Mathura in a few days to celebrate the Holi Festival, but we were in Delhi and had a choice to hop on a train to the province of Punjab. We were heading in the opposite direction to witness what some people say is the most beautiful temple in India. It didn’t disappoint. We wrote all about our entire experience at the post, Golden Temple of Amritsar but today wanted to share a photograph of the temple and crowd of people lining up to see the inside of  Sikhism’s Holiest temple.

The colors in this photo are simply amazing. I love how the temple glows, but the color in the crowd waiting to get in also tells a story. Lovely!

Fantastic photo! I love the vibrant colors and the woman in the foreground. This is definitely one Indian treasure I won’t fail to visit on my next trip to the country.

You will have to let us know when you go and tell us if you had as good of experience as we did. It was one of the greatest experiences we had in India.
