With the Olympics and the Queen’s Jubilee dominating the London tourists’ itinerary this summer, anyone not interested in them can make the most of the rest of the city. When the sun’s out in England’s capital city it’s the best place to be in the world and there’s loads to do away from the tourist [...]
Dave and I have been running a travel blog a long time now and the other night while huddled in a tent during one of our latest around the world adventures, we talked about how life has changed over all our years of travel.
The best part of staying in an apartment when traveling is to be able to cook at home. One of the most expensive parts of travel for us, is food. We love to eat well and can never bring ourselves to jump in for a quick bite at the stand up bar or grab a sandwich to go.
When we were told that we’d be spending the morning at Gladiator School during our visit to Italy’s capital, we immediately said, “Sign me up!” Who doesn’t want to learn a little about the Ancient City’s past while getting the chance to wield a sword?

For many-many years the Island of freedom was on the top of the list of my must-see places. All these colorful pictures from travel blogs and magazines just kept teasing my imagination on and on. Needless to describe the degree of my excitement when all the tickets were finally booked to Cuba.
The highlight of the day however was our visit to the Condor Sanctuary. Condors are endangered in Ecuador this sanctuary is a centre for not only condors, but hawks, eagles and owls just to name a few. Most of the birds are rescued from illegal trafficking, poachers and injuries.

It took us many years to find our passion and at one point in our lives, we didn’t think we’d ever find it. We always said to each other – “I know we could be successful at something, if only we knew what we wanted to do!” To achieve success, you have to find your passion.
We love movies. We used to work in the movies and we still have visions of producing our own travel show one day. So when Expedia let us know that they are running the Expedia Film Contest with Travel as the main theme, we just had to share it with our readers. Tomorrow’s Scorsese? Expedia [...]

When one thinks of Rome, the first thing that comes to mind besides the ancient sites like the Roman Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are Vespa scooters. Everyone remembers Audrey Hepburn riding with Gregory Peck during Roman Holiday; and the tradition continues decades later. Visions of “Euro chic” women clad in designer fashions and fine Italian leather boots ride colourful Vespas through the roundabouts with not a hair out of place!
This week we had the pleasure of visiting Rome with some great ladies of the travel blogging world. As usual Dave was the only man in the mix of many women (not that he was complaining) so when we took a stroll to the Trevi Fountain at midnight, he just had to snap a photo of his entourage.
I know, You’re wondering why on earth we were at a cemetery on a walking tour through markets and traditional eateries, but this isn’t your every day food tour. It’s an culinary journey through Rome’s culture and history. Kenny, our guide had many a story to share and our stop at the cemetery was the highlight of our trip.
Sudan is known for it’s barren landscapes and people succumb to it everyday. But they are not the only victims. Camels litter the highway in what is dubbed the “Camel Highway” in Central Sudan.
We’re trying something different over the next few days and have decided to give you a play by play of our time in Rome. What’s it like to visit this enchanting city? We’re going to tell you. The history and the background on the monuments and buildings will be coming soon along with Dave’s usual [...]
