Staying in an apartment near the Duomo has it's ups and downs. Firstly getting supplies from supermarkets which are say a 20minute walk away. Secondly there are so many people around the Duomo however it is lively and there is always something to attract your attention. It is definitely a place to stay and go out to other areas like Brera. There is a good tram system which will transport you away from the Duomo into these outlying areas. Expensive, maybe just a little around the Duomo, however on the whole it is comparable to other big cities. What makes it epensive for Australians is the exchange rate of 57c for our $ I would go back in a heartbeat

Unfortunately this was our worst possible experience staying anywhere in the world. There were bed bugs and other pests. When mentioned to the host, he got aggressive and blamed us. We can’t recommend this to anyone. We feel better now after washing all our things and being out of there…

The city is beautiful and full of sights to see.

The city is beautiful and full of sights to see. I would say it’s generally underestimated! There are many interesting neighborhoods—ranging from young and edgy to historic and modern. The city is vibrant and has its own unique charm. You can simply enjoy being in one of the countless cafés, browse through endless shopping streets for a design-driven experience, or explore fascinating historical landmarks.

    Consider the heat in summer!

Consider the heat in summer! I was wishing that I had booked a hotel with a pool. We escaped to Lake Como (Lecco) for a day (as we aren't into all the major sites) and went to a nice beach club. Milan is the perfect mix of shopping, style, good food & beautiful lake water a short train ride away. We enjoyed running in the city which was a nice way to see the sites, without having to endure crowds. Just a note - it's my first time back in 15 years and nothing has changed (unlike many other cities) which is disappointing. I wouldn't hurry back.

We really really liked our receptionist. He was friendly, he knew the answer to every question and the best thing off all - he knew how to speak english (which is very hard to find in Italy). The location is a bit far from city centre but nevertheless it has good connections - by bus pr with metro, the camp even provides you with two taxi numbers. Lastly - air conditioner is life saver. It can get pretty hot in Milano and the best thing at the end of the day is nice and cold bungalow.

When we arrived at the Hotel quite late, 10:30ish, the guy on reception was informative, helpful & welcoming. The location of the hotel was good with regards to distance from Milan station and walking distance to the main sites within Milan city centre. The room on the 4th floor was a good size with a window onto the street outside.

Safe covered parking for our hire car which was great. Very friendly staff and nice comfortable bed with good facilities in the room. The staff at the bar were great also.

A traditional, clean, confortable hotel near Milan's city centre Great location, clean and few minutes walk from the metro and several restaurants. Ideal for business trips and for visiting Milan as a tourist. The room was spacious enough (although not the largest in town), clean and quiet.
