Lovely friendly owners made us and our dogs feel at home
We had a phenomenal stay at this beautiful historic inn.
We had a phenomenal stay at this beautiful historic inn. The room was lovely and very cozy, resulting in 2 nights of very good sleep. Lisa, The hostess made 2 different creative and filling. Lisa gave up very good touring sites advice. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Recommend this inn very highly to others.

Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but there's almost nothing to see here. The downtown is a single street a few blocks long with a couple of mostly-empty side streets. One picture, and you are ready to move on.

Beautiful place. A must see destination.
Beautiful place. A must see destination. We only had one night and should have stayed longer. Lots of places to see. Lots of places to eat but it’s busy with tourists. We went a little off the beaten track away from the sea front and found some less busy eateries.

The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum.
The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum. Most of the restaurant served fried foods but we ate at The Lincoln Street Food Store which was very good. We found that the restaurants were expensive for the type of food they offered. To get around in Lunenburg was fairly easy, there are a lot of hills. I think that if we made another trip to Lunenburg we would try to get into the Art Galleries, most were closed when we were there. We would avoid most of the restaurants and try to find one that didn't serve only fried foods.

Loved this town!
Loved this town! Seeing and walking aboard the Bluenose II was great. Took the haunted tour - highly recommend. Great shopping for souvenirs but also for local artist's work. Hope to visit again!

Our visit to Lunenbur greatg was at the end of an 11 day tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We definitely saved the best for last. Would have liked to have had one more day in Lunenburg. All of the restaurants were great. we ate at the Half Shell Oysters, The South Shore Fish Shack and the Smoke Pitt BBQ. Just wanderin up and down the dock side and through town looking at all the different houses was entertaining.
Excellent location. Immaculate room with nice towels and linens. Environmentally friendly accessories (TruEarth soap and shampoo, drinking glasses wrapped in paper vs plastic cups, ‘hang up towels you plan to re-use, etc). Nice décor touches in room and lobby. As restaurants in Lunenburg were closed for breakfast Thanksgiving
Monday, the owner offered a hot breakfast in his downstairs restaurant as a customer service. Very considerate!
The owners are amazing, they made our stay absolutely delightful. The location of the Inn is directly downtown. Daily walks to shopping, restaurants, and the wharf to watch the sunsets is right out your door. The bay is the view out the window. The room is clean, bright and spacious. Our favorite part of our trip are the people we have met, especially the owners of Smugglers Cove Inn.
All is perfect! The atmosphere here is classical, but it does not sacrifice comfort as some other historical building. It is clean and quiet with many luxurious touches. The hosts are very considerate for every guest in serving the room and breakfast. Definitely top pick in Lunenburg! I would love to come back to stay longer next time.
We really enjoyed our time in the 1 BDRM cottage. The cottage has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove and a bbq outside. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch as you take in the breathtaking view of the ocean. The beach s a 2 minute walk. The Lunenburg shops and restaurants are a 5 drive away
Friendly welcome, nicely equipped, comfortable and super-clean room. it’s a short walk from the old town with easy parking. No breakfast but there’s a coffee/donut place yards away. Recommended for those who don’t need or can’t afford the town’s historic Victorian inns.
The beds and pillows were super comfy and the entire room very clean. The motel location was no more than a 15min walk from the main warf in Lunenburg and each room had a cute little seating area for enjoying the sun or smokers.
Excellent accomodation for three adults (superior king suite) and central location on the Main Street of Lunenburg. Lovely restaurant with great food and outdoor deck. Conveniently located to walk the town.
The room has a fabulous view and so much space! Also the location is so perfect and the parking makes it awesome. Parking in Lunenburg can be a pain but this was just perfect.
Great location in the heart of Lunenburg. Stayed in the upstairs suite and was not disappointed. Great views of the harbour and added bonus of the outdoor deck.
The innkeepers managed to make us feel welcome even with Covid-19 protocols in place. The inn sits at the top of Lunenburg and our room had a commanding view.
The staff was really friendly. Rooms were quiet, never heard anyone else. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful and would to have seen it in the fall.
