We only stayed one night but absolutely loved the place! The views were breathtaking, the rooftop was amazing, and the bedroom was beautiful with good sheets and a comfy bed. Everything was spotless, and the check-in instructions were clear- Tatiana was so helpful and kind during check-out! We’d definitely stay here again.

This place was amazing. People if you can't walk a few steps and want cheap things, do not go to Cinque Terre at all. Some comments here stated you pay only for the view. Of course when the view is the most beautiful one you can get. But you also pay for the nice apartment and a hot tub in it. Do not be ungrateful and know where you're going before comming here. Also this is the closest to the parking you can get so I really do not understand people complaining about parking.

The view was great and the accommodations were good. The shower was fine but a little small to move around. The only objection I had was the number of stairs to climb with suitcases; I think the advertisement for the rooms should include the number of steps and the hike up from the train. It was challenging but we did ok. We were expecting somewhat a climb but not that many steps up. Alll in all, it was pleasant and an enjoyable place to stay

A charming ground floor apartment, very clean with plenty of space for a comfortable stay. It has a kitchen so useful for longer stays. Host provided clear instructions for check-in and helpful. It’s located near the center Church, though it’s quite a bit of uphill to get to, so leave the big suitcase at home!

The location. It’s right off the main road in Manarola so you’re just steps away from the ocean and all the restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and clean. If you’re looking to stay in the Cinque Terre, we’d recommend staying in Manarola.

We had a wonderful experience staying L’Emporio Rooms. The host was very hospitable, greeted us at the door and provided recommendations for restaurants. The accommodation was very clean, tastefully decorated, well furnished. The bed and sofa beds were both very comfortable. It’s in an ideal location, restaurants and shops right in front. The harbour is less than a minute away. It’s also less than five minutes walk from the train station. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Manarola.

Very nice apt with great location. We blindly went to Manarola from all the 5 cities and we were not dissapointed. Paolo was a great host and very helpful and quick to answer. We visited all the 5terre except Corniglia because we had enough of walking and when we got off the train and saw the cliff high stairs we said no thanks and got back in the train. I reccomend Manarola out of the 5 because you can easily go on foot to Riomaggiore and back ( recently opened lover's walk - not hiking thank God, around 10eur/person access, totally worth it - they say it's 1km but it's not, much shorter, lovely) and is not so crammed somehow; for the rest by train - we arrived in 5terre when a cruise ship was stopped in La Spezia and the trains were packed full - and very very late, 10-20 or even 30mins late, that's no problem if you move around in 5terre but if you need to catch a flight in Milan or Bologna bear this in mind - we missed a connection in Genoa but all was well in the end.

The early mornings and evenings were quite peaceful.

The early mornings and evenings were quite peaceful. It gets fairly busy after 9am. I did take a trip to most of the other villages but found this one to be the best. You can get a rail ticket for the whole day, so hop from town to town. More easily accessible and good value for money. The food was good, has gluten free places, people were lovely. Water was great to swim in and the weather was perfect. Always validate train and bus tickets...big fines 40 euro and up.... if you don't.... even if you buy your ticket, no fare evasion....no leaniency given....I learnt the hard way. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Felt like tourist are targeted in that respect. Shame on you Italy.

Manarola has the prettiest photo opportunities but one has to be able to walk up hills and on cobblestones. It is not a place for wheelchairs, unfortunately. 3 Days was just right for us. The beach is okay for a quick dip but is not large enough for sunbathing. Packing light is also best as rolling suitcases on the streets can rip the wheels right off the suitcases! (We actually saw this happen to someone right in front of us!) We didn’t buy the Cinque Terre pass because it was not possible for us to see all the towns in one day, anyway. We just paid for the train rides we needed.

    Manarola is a beautiful town.

Manarola is a beautiful town. It is busy mid-day, which is the main factor that holds me back from a higher rating. Morning and evening were much quieter and more enjoyable than mid-day. We stayed two nights (one afternoon/evening and one full day). I enjoyed hiking from Manarola to Vernazza, despite a little rain. The train was a nice option to move around the area. I could have used 1-2 more days/nights to explore the hiking trails around Cinque Terre. We enjoyed dinner at Trattoria dal Billy, which offered good food and service. The pizza at Il Porticciolo was surprisingly good for dinner on a rainy night, after an afternoon wine tasting at Cantina 5 Terre. Gelateria Sorbetteria 5 Terre offered a nice afternoon treat of gelato and shakes. Nessun Dorma was recommended, but only serving take out the night we arrived. We enjoyed a few take away drinks at the scenic overlook just down the path while waiting for sunset.

Manarola was a great home base for Cinque Terre.

Manarola was a great home base for Cinque Terre. I was there from Sat to Monday in May and no surprise, the weekend days were significantly busier than the Monday but still very manageable. Manarola seemed a little smaller than the other towns but was just right for a more quieter and less busy place to return to after a long day of exploring. It is a little sleepier so restaurants were closed by 9:30 and La Cantina Dello Zio Bramante was a bar that stayed open til about 11. The path up to the Manarola overlook is an easy stroll with plenty of benches to sit on while overlooking Manarola and is a great spot to have a Cinque Terre sunset experience. There was no beach but still saw many people laying out by the water and and jumping in.

Manarola is great village to choose, as convient location from where to explore the neighbouring villages by hike or regional train. This village is one of the quietest if that is a consideration for you. Our stay was close to all amenities, groceries & restaurants. Recommended. Priced right compared to competition

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Manarola. Spacious, modern with all the facilities and amenities required for a comfortable stay. Be prepared to climb up some steep steps but if you are in Cinque Terre you are going to climb up and down stairs. Well located and close ro really excellent restaurants. Donatella’s communication was excellent and she met us at the station and guided us to Casa Oliva

In this placement, everything was perfect. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The village of Manarola was, in our opinion, the most atmospheric of all the villages in the Cinque Terre.
