We arrived for the second time to Agra on a beautiful sunny afternoon. We didn’t go to the Taj Mahal until the third day of our arrival. We instead spent the days relaxing, writing and chatting with other tourists. Finally after viewing it from every surrounding rooftop and angle, we managed to wake ourselves up at 5:00 am to beat it to the front of the line. We felt like old pros by now and kept that not so interested look on our faces as we listened to the excited conversations around us. Once the doors opened however, it was a free for all and we were suddenly very interested.
We have seen some pretty extraordinary temples in our three months of traveling through India and Sri Lanka. From the Taj Mahal to the summit of Adams Peak, temples are a way of life in these spiritual countries. We will be seeing many more I am sure, but here is a photo story of some of the great temples that we have witnessed on our Asian Adventure.
What does a person do when they wait for three days at the Taj Mahal for the fog to lift but it never does? If you are Dave and Deb, pack your bags and head for another country. This weather is terrible and there is no need to hang around when you can travel to sunny Sri Lanka right next door. The Taj will be there for another day. Right now, we want some fun in the sun.
