White Water Rafting in Fiji was one of the most spectacular days we had in the country. It was just about what we would call a perfect day. We made great new friends, enjoyed stunning scenery and had great thrills.
Later today we will be interviewed on Twitter by tourism Fiji. Come by and join the conversation at 2:00 pm PST. Just follow the hashtag #FijiMe to see what we have to say. Our Twitter Handle is @theplanetd. We are so excited to be leaving for Fiji on November 11th and are honoured to be a part of the Fijime tour with some fantastic online personalities. It will be an excellent chance for us to meet new travel blogging friends. Tourism Fiji is hosting 6 different blogs that focus on Adventure, Eco and Romance Travel. thought of songs when it came to Bali and Dave thought of Surfing. Who was the original adventurer in this relationship? When we made it to Kuda Beach, Dave had one thing and one thing only on his mind. Learn how to surf. We walked down to the beach from our hotel on Poppies Gang II and started scouting out guys that could teach us. No big hotels or organized tours for us. We wanted a local surfer showing us the ropes. We met Ronald. A soft spoken young man from Sumatra that had started a small business with a few surf boards lined up on the beach. He gave us a great deal, and told us that he would teach us until we were standing and comfortable.
