A Gentle Moment in Jordan

A Gentle Moment in Jordan

When we visited Captain’s Desert Camp in Wadi Rum Jordan, we met a camel that our driver Mahmoud helped bring into the world two weeks earlier.

The Wall of guitars at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City is the most memorable rock and roll display we have seen at any of the Hard Rocks around the world.

Snapshot Sunday: An Ethiopian Sunset

Snapshot Sunday: An Ethiopian Sunset

Ethiopia surprised us with it’s beauty. During the Tour d’Afrique, Ethiopia was the toughest section of the tour. With long hot days climbing mountains and dodging rocks thrown by naughty children, it was 23 days of pushing ourselves to the limits both mentally and physically.

It has been a week of editing video and re-visiting our time at Mount Everest Base Camp. On September 8th we will be putting on a media presentation at Mountain Equipment Co-op in Toronto and it has been incredible looking at our previous posts, videos and photos of our time in Nepal. We had forgotten just how stunning the scenery is in the Khumbu Region. Every day felt as if we could reach out and touch heaven. This photo captures that magic of what we saw every day for almost two weeks while trekking to Everest Base Camp.

Morning light Bow Lake in Banff, Alberta: Snapshot Sunday

Canada is full of breathtaking vistas and Alberta is no exception. This shot was taken while staying at a lodge at the foot of the Bow Glacier in Banff, Alberta. It is a perfect example as to why it pays to get up early as a photographer. The mist on the lake, the sun hitting the peak and the deep morning shadows combine to give you the feeling of what it was like that morning.

But after looking at the images when we got back to the hotel the skies were so dramatic I had to keep them as colour. The Dragon Fountain of Versailles caught my eye. It is not as famous as the others but just as impressive! What do you think?
