Our first stop in Southern France was Marseilles.The French Riviera conjures up images of million dollar yachts, outrageously beautiful people, celebrities and fine living. We were seeing it our little Nissan Micra.

Morning light Bow Lake in Banff, Alberta: Snapshot Sunday
Canada is full of breathtaking vistas and Alberta is no exception. This shot was taken while staying at a lodge at the foot of the Bow Glacier in Banff, Alberta. It is a perfect example as to why it pays to get up early as a photographer. The mist on the lake, the sun hitting the peak and the deep morning shadows combine to give you the feeling of what it was like that morning.
Chateau D’If in Marseille, France: Photo Friday
As we drove along the coast in Marseille looking for a place to stay for the night we couldn’t resist the temptation to pull over and enjoy the sunset. Along the winding roads that hug the coast of Marseille are small inlets where you can pull off the road and enjoy the view. So did just that.
The Himalayan Yaks; A Photo Story
No day on our Mount Everest Base Camp Adventure would have been complete without having to spend at least 2 or 3 times dodging the infamous Yak trains that ply the trails through the Himalayas. My last photo story, The Sherpas of Mt Everest, looked at the human heroes this week we pay tribute to our woolly friends who carry supplies to all of the small towns that dot the landscape of this great mountain range.

Everyone who has ever heard of Mt. Everest has heard of Tenzing Norgay. The famous Sherpa who was the first, along side Sir Edmund Hillary, to summit the worlds tallest peak. Since then there have countless Sherpa’s who have given their lives carrying food, supplies and even clients on this mountain.
