Malta’s Top Attractions… Away from the Beach

Malta’s Top Attractions… Away from the Beach

A visit to Malta requires swimming at least once in the island’s turquoise waters and a visit to her sister island Comino, home to the Mediterranean’s picturesque bay, the Blue Lagoon

Cinque Terre’s Five Villages Hike

Cinque Terre’s Five Villages Hike

One of the most scenic hikes a person can do in Italy is the Five Villages Hike along the Mediterranean region of Cinque Terre. We had heard about this hike in France and when we found ourselves on the French Riviera a mere 3-hours from Cinque Terre we had to hop in our rented Nissan Micra and make our way to this spectacular region. We awoke early to start our 5 hour hike through the Five Villages. The trail winds its way along the Italian Riviera’s Mediterraneans coast between the Five Villages. All we had to do was follow the crowd.

A Detour to Italy’s Riviera. A Treat for the Taste Buds

A Detour to Italy’s Riviera. A Treat for the Taste Buds

We couldn’t waste any more time relaxing on the beach and we had to get ourselves to the Cinque Terra in Italy. It is a beautiful piece of the Mediterranean where one can walk and hike along a gorgeous path on the coast. The minute we entered Italy we fell in love with it. The language is music to my ears, the food is heaven to the taste buds and the people are friendly and passionate.

Marseilles, French Port at it’s Finest

Marseilles, French Port at it’s Finest

We had no idea what to expect from Marseille. We had read that it was busy and crowded and a little rough around the edges. We had known about it from history and movies and we had been excited to finally make it to the French Riviera. Our first impression of Marseille was a busy one. We drove in on a Friday evening during rush hour and the confusion and traffic was unbearable. We almost decided to drive right on through and leave the hustle and bustle behind. Thank God we Didn’t.

Costa Blanca, Spain’s Sunny South

Costa Blanca, Spain’s Sunny South

Where is Europe’s sunshine playground? That would be the south of Spain of course. We had to make our way to Costa Blanca from Barcelona to see what all the fuss was about. It did not disappoint. Costa Blanca is a beautiful if not a little over developed piece of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea.
