It wasn’t something we would normally sign up for when traveling. We’ve been all over the word and while we enjoy eating food, we had never thought of learning how to cook it.
It was an incredible 10 days in Jordan and it started off right with our stay at the luxurious Four Seasons Amman. Upon our return, we were eager to see how people lived in Jordan’s largest city.
The Seychelles islands are known for their Creole cooking. And there’s good reason for that. From freshly caught fish, to locally grown fruit, from spicy curries to sweet fried bananas and Salted Fish Rougay there is something here for every taste bud and palate.
One of the most exciting meals we have had during our travels is the Chinese hot pot in Sichuan Province. Known as the province of flavour, Sichuan is famous for it’s over the top spices. We hopped in a taxi with our hand written directions in Mandarin guiding our driver to the neighbourhood Hot Pot restaurant where the festivities began. Dining moves fast in China and within minutes the hot pot spicy water was sizzling while meat and vegetables made their way into the room in endless supply.

We couldn’t wait to peruse the menu of a restaurant and choose something mouth wateringly delicious. The prix fix menus were our saviour as we could sample a few dishes at a time. Oh yes, we loved eating in France. So Why McDonalds

She is the owner of Monica’s Fine Foods where she is sharing her love of Davoli Olive Oil with North America. Monica is giving away one 250ml bottle of Davoli Extra Virgin Olive Oil to one lucky Facebook Fan *and* a $50 gift certificate to a random blogger.
Since we are leaving soon, I have been taking stalk of what I truly take for granted while I am at home in my comfortable apartment. It amazes me how the little things here can mean so much while I am on the road and I cannot fool myself into thinking that travel is glamorous.
