Why do people put their lives at risk and pack into over crowded ferries in Bangladesh? Why do businessmen fly on airlines with the worst safety records on the planet? Why do mothers and children ride through terrifying mountainous journeys on buses barely fit to stay on the road? The Lunatic Express explores how the poorest people in the world are forced to make these dangerous journeys every day. eople need to get from one place to another and in developing nations the citizens are traveling in uncomfortable conditions and risking their lives regularly just to get from point A to point B.
Bus Travel Can be Bad in India Also
We bit the bullet and left Mumbai on a non-airconditioned sleeper bus. The weather is not hot at this time of year so we should be comfortable. The bus arrived and it looked quite smart. We said to ourselves that we would be fine. Boy were we wrong.
Boats and Buses From Belize to Honduras, What a Trip
We booked a boat in Belize City to Puerto Cortes, Honduras. We made it in one piece just barely, and we had a lot of time to get over our nausea. Finally the border patrol arrived. One man and one man only processed 50 people. It was getting late in the day and we didn’t have much time to make our way across the island to catch our ferry to Utilla.
