Making a Difference in Bangkok-In Search of Sanuk
Dwight of Insearch of Sanuk works tirelessly to help make the lives of urban refugees in Bangkok easier. He runs this charity that brings food, money and hope to families living illegally in Bangkok. He visits their loved ones that are detained in the Immigration Detention Centre and recruits volunteers to come with him to help briefly reunite families living separately in the IDC of Thailand.
Revisiting Thailand and More Adventures for 2011
It is strange being back in Thailand after so long. The last time we were here was 6 years ago when we had decided to take the winter off of work to explore South East Asia. We had already known that we wanted to travel for a living back then, but we had no idea how. So without a plan, we made ourselves unavailable at work thinking our lives would miraculously change and some idea would magically pop up. We were freelancers in the movie business and as far as anyone was concerned we were simply working on another project: not gallivanting around the islands.
Travel Movie Memories
While I love movies like that, I often think about movies that I have seen on the road in our travels. Many times in a conversation, someone will mention a movie and it will trigger a memory. Just the other day we were talking about Rambo at work and I said “hey, I saw that in Botswana” It happens all of the time and I will remember where I saw it and then relive that time in a country in my brain. It brings a smile to my face.

Strange, Funny and Odd Names of Towns in Canada
When I started writing this post, I was going to write about funny cities and towns that I have visited in my travels, but then I realized that they have nothing on Canada. Maybe it is all of our time spent indoors during the winter, but we have come up with some pretty strange names for our cities and towns.
Here is a list of ridiculous, funny and strangely named cities and towns from my home country, Canada. If you know of any from any part of the planet that has some funny names let me know.
