  6. What’s with sunsets that they are always able to leave us speechless? I’m never tired of photographing sunsets and sunrises (when I get up in time!) everywhere I am.

  12. It never stops to amaze me at how many nice places there are. Ive got a few photos like yours, sunsetish, but I think yours must have been taken in a cave.

  13. Beautiful pic from Phuket. Where was it taken? I have been to Phuket quite a few times now. It’s lovely once you get away from Phuket town, Karon, Pa Tong and Laguna beaches and find some quieter spots.

  16. Sea Kayaking in Thailand is loads of fun. I imagine that you were on a tour and had a driver for this shot? I’ve kayaked both in a tour group and solo, I definitely wouldn’t want to be out there at sunset by myself, unless you are really familiar with the area.

    • We actually had a great tour alone with John Grey himself. WE were lucky because we pitched the idea to Thailand Tourism so they set us up with the best. We did one day on a tour with others and then the next, John came out to our island where we were camping all alone to meet us for a day of kayaking. That day we had our own kayaks and we were maneuvering ourselves through the hongs and following his lead. it was thrilling experience. I agree, you need to have a guide. The tides come in quickly and you can get into serious trouble if you are in the middle of a hong with the water rushing in. John was telling us that he has rescued many a tour group that got into trouble while with guides that weren’t well trained. He’s the pioneer of Sea Kayaking and it was a privilege to paddle with him.
