Vietnam was one of our favourite countries in South East Asia. One of the highlights was going sand boarding on the Sand Dunes in Mui Ne.
After grabbing a jeep from our guesthouse we were taken to these amazing Sand Dunes that looked to be untouched by human feet at least for the past couple of days. I captured this image as one of the people we were traveling with headed up the sand dunes first. We had an amazing day sand boarding and enjoying the beautiful weather.
So if you are ever in Vietnam make sure to make it to Mui Ne and these amazing dunes that are part of the diverse landscape in this awesome country.

Stunning shot!
It’s wonderful how many things I discover and learn every day. I would never have thought there might be sand dunes in Vietnam. It was already high on my bucket list. Now I’m even more intrigued…
Thank you!

The pristine clean lines of the sand dunes against the blue sky is really gorgeous Dave!
When I visited Vietnam, I had no idea that its landscape was so diverse. I had visions of 360 degrees of tropical jungle and mountains, how wrong was I. Nice image, gives a great prospective on how large the dunes are.

Thanks Andi, we were surprised when we visited the dunes. We didn’t even know they existed until we arrived in Mui Ne. We just knew that it was a good beach town. What’s amazing is that the Sand Dunes are inland. Not near the beach. Dave will have to post another shot about the unique landscape because there is a very cool red rock canyon nearby as well. It’s like a (very) miniature Grand Canyon.
We’re heading there in around 2 weeks, had been looking into this. That picture has definitely motivated Poi and I to go!
Mui Ne was great, we ended up staying 8 days there. I wish that we took a kite boarding lesson. You should give it a try and let us know how it goes!
The dunes are amazing, I went there right after it rained and the landscape… witha black dark sky was just stunning…
The picture above really capture the feeling we feel over there. we feel so small, lost in the immensity of the dunes..
Cheers,
Antoine

Thanks Anhh, yep, Mui Ne is one of our favourite beaches we have ever been to. The sunsets were stunning too!
