As a wearer of contacts, it is difficult for me to get my lenses into my eyes when we are camping in the middle of a field or when we don’t have proper sanitation to wash my hands. We first used Rudy Project during The Tour d’Afrique in 2008. There was no way I was going to wear contact lenses for 8 hours a day when cycling and my little fashion prescription lenses would not do the trick. However, I have a very strong prescription and it is impossible for me to buy corrective vision sports sunglasses due to the curve. It just doesn’t work for my extremely strong lenses.

How do I wear such stylish performance sunglasses with my strong lenses? Rudy Project has the answer with their RX prescription inserts. Because of my strong prescription, I can’t wear any curved sport lenses, but I need maximum coverage when doing extreme sports. With my inserts, I don’t have to wear sunglasses, but I can still wear maximum protective sport glasses.

Surviving a Crash in Tanzania

I can wholeheartedly endorse Rudy Project Lenses because I wore them every day straight for 4 months as I cycled through Africa. They held up through the blowing desert sands of Sudan, the heavy rains of Tanzania and the rocky roads of Ethiopia.
