At the end of our #FollowMeAtSea press trip with Princess Cruises we decided to take a tour of the Capilano River Regional Park area of Vancouver, B.C. We had lived in Vanvouver for3 years in the 90′s, but had never really seen it as a tourist. The tour was informative and was chalk full of photo opportunities.
This was one of those photo opportunities.
As we arrived at the Conservation area we were treated to the sight of this Osprey sitting and waiting by the river for a salmon to jump. Waiting patiently for the photo paid off as he sprung into flight I was able to capture this image and was lucky to have the Osprey looking right at me. I love photographing birds and considered myself fortunate to see this magnificent bird from our close angle.
If you are ever in Vancouver, make sure to take a trip to Capilano Conservation Area in North Vancouver. The forest is beautiful and you just may catch a glimpse of the regal Osprey.
