Wow – I can’t wait to read your tweets and posts about this next adventure!
I have a deep fear of being out on open water, with no sight of land, and so will not do the typical cruises, but cruising the Alaskan waterway is one (of two) I would actually do (the other is a river cruise, on my list for 2011 or 2012), so I’m really looking forward to hearing your take on it. I hope to make it up to Alaska next year.

Ooh a river cruise..Where are you thinking of taking one? I agree an Alaskan Cruise is the cruise for us. We tried a quick 4 day cruise to the Bahamas once and didn’t enjoy it at all. But this Alaskan cruise is chalked full of adventures and the scenery is going to be amazing.
One concern many people have when planning their cruise vacation is their health and the health of their loved ones. Unlike other types of vacations, cruises put you in close contact with others during most of your trip and may therefore make you more susceptible to illnesses from those around you. Berkshire Concepts Boston invites you to get to know some of the simple ways in which you can stay healthy while on your next cruise. Back To Basics With Berkshire Concepts Boston
Using your common sense can help you stay healthy when traveling, even when dealing with your health. Here are just a few of the ways that you can prevent illness when traveling.
Wash your hands frequently – you may not realize how often you touch your mouth with your hands. Remembering to wash them frequently or carry hand sanitizer can help prevent illness.
Avoid those who are already sick – If you see someone getting sick, offer assistance by finding someone who can assist such as the ship staff rather than trying to help yourself. Ships are prepared for illness and have many onboard staff who are able to help and are qualified to do so.
Take care of yourself – This means make sure that you get enough sleep, that you eat healthy and that you remember that your health is your number one priority. If you take care of yourself, you can not only avoid getting sick yourself, but are also helping to prevent illness in those around you.
The Vessel Sanitation Program – Keeping You Healthy
The CDC does there best to keep you safe while traveling. Ultimately, it is up to you to stay safe and be smart while traveling. Make sure you do all you can to maintain your health while traveling and pay attention to what is going on around you in order to help ensure you safety. Millions of people travel each year without incident, be one of the millions not one of the few that suffer by traveling smarter with tips on travel from Berkshire Concepts Boston.

We are in Vancouver on June 25th all day. We arrive at 8:00 am and we don’t fly out until midnight. (we are taking the redeye to the TBEX in New York! Maybe we will see you in Vancouver….our former home!
I think dog sledding on the glacier has me most excited – Can’t wait to see the pics!
I can’t wait to go dogsledding. We almost signed up for it twice, but we thought that would be a little selfish. Everyone wants to dogsled and it fills up quickly. I am so glad that we got ourselves slotted in! We can’t wait for all these adventures with Princess Cruises, I never thought we would be going to Alaska.
I’m very excited to see how your trip goes! It looks like you’ve got a great itinerary lined up. Hope to see you on the Mendenhall Glacier! Have a great time!
