Day two of our Everest Base Camp Trek was the longest day of our trek.
It involved a 6 hour hike from Pakding to Namche Bazaar. We covered 10 km of mountainous terrain with an elevation gain of 800 metres.
The second day is a lot of fun though because you cross several suspension bridges, you get to challenge yourself by trekking up some steep mountains and you see a lot of Yaks and donkeys on the trails taking supplies from Lukla to Namche Bazaar.
Traffic can get very heavy on the trek when a yak or donkey train goes by. You have to make sure to get out of their way and stay to the side. These animals don’t stop for anything. They are loaded down with heavy gear, they have long walks each day and if they nudge you off the side of a cliff while barrelling by, well, that is your problem.
We wanted to keep our videos of each day to about a minute, but day two just had too many great things to see.
So enjoy Day two of our Mount Everest Base Camp Trek…In two minutes!

Loved the music! Was waiting for one of you to dance on over and jump on one of the donkeys for lift up!

Hey guys,
Great video. I love the landscapes and some of the frames are fantastic – still images that move. I do have to complain about the camera shake though. You really need to get a tripod to take the shakes out!
That is a great suggestion. Next trip we will use a tripod for sure. Thanks.
Good music choice!
And also really nice pictures! You should get a larger camera, which will be easier to hold still & that you even got more to carry…. lol

True Melvin. We tried a new camera this trip and I don’t like it at all. It doesn’t have an eye piece like our older ones. It is the flip and I prefer to look through an eye piece. When I hold it up to my eye,it keeps the camera more steady. We would love to buy a new one, but I don’t think that is in the budget. A light tripod might be the answer.
Tripoda are so last year… I bought a walking stick with the camera / video mount on the top. Great multi tasker!
Ooh, that is a great idea! Thanks Steve. I think that is what we will buy what an excellent suggestion. We have been going though video footage from the past year and there is a lot of shake:( I can’t use a lot of great footage. Oh well, at least it keeps the videos short and sweet!
The music was a fun addition, great video guys – I had those same donkey encounters on the Annapurna circuit where you wait a bit at first and then just wade right through!

I do consider all of the ideas you’ve introduced on your post. They are very convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for beginners. May you please prolong them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
