Canadians love Hallowe’en. While we may celebrate Halloween in full force, there are a lot of places around the world that I would love to spend the night for a good scare.
Today we are on our way to the Adventure Travel World Summit in Chiapas Mexico and we thought it would be a good idea to stick with the adventure theme and share Part two of our Top 5 countries for adventure around the world. There was no way we could narrow our favourite destinations down [...]
Last week on CTV News Channel we talked about our top destinations in the world for adventure. It was such a fun segment that it made us think we should share our top picks with our readers too! We love chatting to Canada weekly, it not only hopefully inspires our fellow Canadians to get out [...]
Not many of us can afford a luxury hotel room let alone an outrageously expensive presidential suite: but we all love to dream. When this post came across our desk from Escape Travel, we thought it’d be fun to share a little fantasy with you on a Saturday morning. Who doesn’t want to take a [...]
Who Likes Train Travel? We love taking the train. There is nothing better than watching the countryside pass by as you relax in your compartment while getting to know your fellow passengers.
Shredded Wheat Canada is giving away a $100 gift card to mec. As their resident travel experts we thought we’d share our favorite climbing spots around the world.
Travelling is one thing that many people all over the world love to do. Not all parts of the globe are not necessarily safe to visit. In fact, there are some places that are quite dangerous.
Imagine this… You’ve picked up some cheap international flights and are on your way to the airport. Everything seems fine until you get there and all of a sudden something goes completely wrong. You end up stuck in that little room trying to explain what just happened. For many years unpredictable situations have occurred in [...]
The Tour d’Afrique 2011 kicks off today in Cairo, Egypt. It was this time three years ago that we started our transformation from working class career oriented professionals to adventurers and full time travel bloggers. It started out as a New Years Resolution on the eve of 2008. We were feeling blue after 2 years [...]
It has been many a year since Dave and I celebrated Christmas on actual Christmas day with our families. We always tend to be traveling during the winter months and have yet to put down any roots to start a regular holiday tradition. So here we are celebrating another Christmas by ourselves in yet another country. This year it is Thailand and we will be kickboxing through the entire holidays. That will definitely help to take our minds off of not being at home.

KL pulsates with shiny skyscrapers, feverish wet markets, lively pedestrian malls, venerable mosques and a wonderful, chaotic array of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
We wrap up this media week with songs that inspire travel. – Like all of our lists this past week this was not easy to narrow down our choices to only six. There are many other songs out there that make us want to travel. Even as I write this introduction I am thinking of [...]
You knew it was coming. It’s media week at ThePlanetD and what is a week about travel in the media without travel movies. Dave and I worked in the film business for over a decade so we take our movie choices as seriously as our travel destinations. When we choose a movie that inspires travel, [...]
