Intrepid Travel, Tour Winner Announced!

We had an amazing turn out of support last week from our friends, families and followers.

Last week we held a donation drive to raise money for the cost of gas to get our car to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from London, England. All donors were entered into a raffle for their chance to win a tour with Intrepid Travel; who will also be donating our carbon offsets for the fuel of the car.

A Big Thank You!

Thank you everyone who donated to help us get our car from England to Mongolia to be donated to Adventures for Development.
Your Five dollar donation goes a long way and with a total of 413 entries it added up fast! We raised $2150 to help us get to Mongolia. If all goes well, that should cover a good portion of our gas to travel 16,000 km overland. Some people gave more than $5 and we appreciate your generosity.

Ted Konkel was the big giver with a very generous donation of $250 and while he didn’t win the draw for the Intrepid Travel Tour, we are pleased to be able to offer him a pair of high end NOX Audio: Scout Portable Headsets valued at $79.99

The Moment You’ve Been Waiting For

Intrepid Travel was kind enough to offer one of our donors a tour to either Mongolia or Peru and we held a draw to choose a winner!

Wild Mongolia – This 15 day trip in our final destination for the Mongol Rally is a trip to remember. Take in the sights of the country’s capital Ulaanbaatar before heading out for your great adventure. You will be staying in Ger Camps, hiking volcanos and enjoying Mongolian barbecues. Inca Trail – This 8 day trip takes you through Peru. Starting in Lima you will spend the day exploring the historic centre of the city. It is then off to the charming city of Cuzco in the centre of the country. Explore the Sacred Valley and the ancient city of Ollantaytambo before beginning your trek on the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Voted as one of the new 7 World Wonders this is a trip you will never forget.

How did we choose the winner?

• We entered everyone’s entry into a spreadsheet.
• If you donated more than $5 you received more entries.
• For every $5 donation, you received a block on the spreadsheet.
• If someone donated $25 they received 5 entries.
• In Total we had 430 – $5 entries.
• We put all the names of people who donated into a spread sheet beside a number
• We then input the numbers 1- 430 into the random generator and let it do it’s magic.
