Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the most fulfilling and satisfying experiences you can ever have. We climbed the Machame Route, better known as the Whiskey Route and spent 6 Glorious days on the Worlds Tallest Free Standing Mountain in Tanzania. Kili is Africa’s highest mountain and the highest Volcano in the world. Now that’s a lot of bragging rights.

What I love about Mount Kilimanjaro is that you start in the tropics and then walk through several different climates and types o f terrain. From lush jungle vegetation, to a cactus forest, rocky terrain, sheer rock faces, volcanic scree and eventually snowy, glacial peaks.

When travelling to Africa, make sure that a climb to the roof of the continent is on your list, you won’t forget it!
