Capetown is a beautiful city, but we didn’t see it right away. When we arrived to Capetown, which was the finish line for our cycling race across Africa, we couldn’t see a thing.
Canada is full of breathtaking vistas and Alberta is no exception. This shot was taken while staying at a lodge at the foot of the Bow Glacier in Banff, Alberta. It is a perfect example as to why it pays to get up early as a photographer. The mist on the lake, the sun hitting the peak and the deep morning shadows combine to give you the feeling of what it was like that morning.
Happy 234th birthday to our neighbours to the south! In celebration of the 4th of July weekend here is a photo of Lady Liberty as she watches over New York City from the Harbour. Hope you all have a great weekend!
I’m sure the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Peru is NOT Sand Dunes. Well in Hucachina in Ica province lies a vast desert which will wow you with amazing views, thrill you in a Dune Buggy and put you sand boarding skills to work.
The Palace of Versailles was something we had always ended up missing on our trips to France. Not for any particular reason it just ended up that way. So we made sure to make a detour this time. To my dismay is was cloudy and stormy that day so I thought photographs would not be very interesting. I decided to make it a black and white day. But after looking at the images when we got back to the hotel the skies were so dramatic I had to keep them as colour. The Dragon Fountain of Versailles caught my eye. It is not as famous as the others but just as impressive! What do you think?
As you drive through the French countryside almost everywhere you look you will see the Colza flower.
This is harvested mostly for it’s oil which is used in animal feed and can be used in the production of Biofuel. But for us it just makes for a stunningly colorful photo.
Driving through France has afforded us the luxury of seeing some great out of the way places. I am always on the lookout for something interesting to photograph. So as we were driving through Provence in France the other day I caught a flash of red out of the corner of my eye.
Think about it! The sun is rising over the most romantic city in India, What better way to see Udaipur than from the basket of a hot air balloon. As we sat enjoying our morning coffee we were surprised to hear an unfamiliar sound that was like a fighter jet taking off
Back in 2004 during our South East Asia trip we visited the country of Myanmar. It was one of the hardest countries that we traveled on during this trip but the images were well worth the difficulties. As we boarded a boat to sail down the Irrawaddy river to Bagan it was still dark. As we pulled away from the dock the sun began to rise bathing the river in a magical deep orange glow.
It is part way through our Everest Base Camp Trek and we are feeling good! The Himalaya’s are incredibly beautiful as we are surrounded by astounding panoramic views of the highest peaks in the world. Today, snapshot Sunday is all about us! We’re loving every minute of our time in Everest Region.
We are in Nepal and have been on the road for four months. The Himalayas are beautiful, and it makes us a little homesick for Canada. We had the opportunity to go out to Alberta this summer with General Motors. They brought us out for an adventure drive and we fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. Before we share our beautiful photos from Nepal, we just wanted to share just how beautiful Canada can be as well. We are lucky, we get to travel the world and we hail from a great and glorious country.
You see temples are not really our thing but when we wlaked through the marble door of this one we knew it was different. Constructed between the 14th and 15th century this temple houses 1444 uniquely hand carved pillars.
Meeting up with our friends Becca and Julian brought back the joy of travel again. To see them excited about India and Holy rubbed off on us, and even though I was sick with a touch of Delhi Belly and a bad head cold we enjoyed our time in Mathura celebrating the Holy Festivities.
