As I sit down to write this 2011 Adventure Travel Round up, I am in shock and awe that we really did all these things in a span of 365 days. We just lived a year of adventure travel that I never thought I would have the opportunity to ever do in my life
It’s been a great week all around, we were featured in the Toronto Star’s Special Travel Rewards section yesterday talking about the Mongol Rally and today at 10:45 am EST we’ll be on CTV NewsExpress talking about travel. What a great ending to a wonderful week!
Border Crossings had been a bit of a worry on the Mongol Rally. Up until our Russian entry we didn’t have the proper paperwork for our car.
I know that we have talked to you all about how finding accommodation in Eastern Europe can be a chore, but we do have other options.
Finding Hotels has been a tough job throughout our time on the Mongol Rally. Traveling in Eastern Europe takes a little more planning to find accommodation and that is something that we didn’t do at all.
We hadn’t seen another Mongol Rally vehicle since the Czech Out party just across the border of the Czech Republic. Since we had spent and extra day there to go on a Segway Tour in Prague, we were sure that most people were at least a day ahead of us.
