I taught English for four weeks in the nearby "floating village" in 2001 and it was an unforgettable experience. The people live in floating shacks on the dirty river so they can raise fish under their homes and sell them for profit. The school house was also floating on the river and I had to get there by boat! So incredible. I will never forget it. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I have been to Ankor Wat as well and met the same little children selling trinkets at the temple.
