Seemed ridiculous, but we heard the story elsewhere, so seems true. While at the Toul Sleung, we happened to meet one of the 3 survivors of that horrible place still living. He's the key witness in the Khmer Rouge trials as he's the only survivor still living in Phnom Penh. His stories were wonderful and reflected the spirit I found with all the Cambodians -- worn down from years of war and continued corrupt governments, but strong souls who want their story heard.
