Great post ~ we put “learn to barter” on our to do list after paying too much at some street vendors in Isla Mujeres. We knew they’d bargain, but we didn’t even know where to start!

Great post. I’ve never been good at bartering. Closest I ever come to trying to make a difference to the price being offered is by walking away. It’s funny cuz my older brother and father will barter with people for hours. Like you said, so long as you’re having a blast with it and nobody gets hurt, everybody wins. Good work!

Great post. Just remember to have fun and enjoy the experience and don’t make it as a competition. Sometimes you might end up spent too much time asking for 50 cents discount.

Hi, it’s funny in Costa Rica no one barters, it’s so weird. in guatemala, if you don’t they take offense!
